new Undertaking - Motorcycle Funerals
Since
the nineties I had wanted to do motorcycle funerals for motorcyclists but I procrastinated.
After a few years
Russell at DropBears.com in Australia emailed me, he ran the famous
motorcycle funerals website. To my
astonishment Russell, who had no
clue I was thinking about this, told me he thought I would make a
natural successor and offered it to me.
I took over the website and drew up
UK designs. An Australian style open deck is useless in our weather, can you imagine a
cardboard coffin in winter? Sadly I listened
to the voices of reason who felt more comfortable with me in the conventional
ministry box and postponed. But after injuries, pain and seeing 13 years
ministry closed while in
recovery I concluded it was time to do what God was
calling me to so patented the enclosed professional weather protected
sidecar hearse.
One house sale later...
Undertaking Training
I
trained at LJ
Butler and Saville & Son Funeral Directors my duties involved moving a
famous coffin from chapel to chapel. When
the prototype hearse was finally launched at The Ace Cafe where Father Scott Anderson did the blessing. We then rode to Kensal Green Cemetery for the
Classic Hearse
Register's Hearse of the Year show.
